Review by hotel critic
I recently enjoyed a splendid stay at the Grand Hotel Principe in Limone Piemonte, and I must say, it’s a convenient base for any history enthusiast visiting the region. Just across the street from the ski store and a mere 100 meters from the lifts, it’s perfectly situated for hitting the slopes early each morning. The staff were not only charming but genuinely eager to assist, offering a complimentary shuttle service that made the journey to the nearby train station seamless. Each day began with a delightful breakfast featuring local specialties, including the renowned bagna cauda and fresh breads that set me up well for a day of exploration or skiing. After a long day outside, I reveled in the wellness area; the sauna was heavenly, allowing for some much-needed relaxation among stunning Alpine views. Limone itself has a rich history, being one of the oldest tourist destinations in Italy—perfect for my interests—and the town is a bustling hub of activity. I’m already planning a return visit, keen to delve deeper into both the slopes and the local culture, which this hotel makes effortless.
